Gnu Arch is believed to port easily to all popular (and some obscure) unix-family platforms including Gnu/Linux variants, BSD-based platforms, AIX, and Solaris.

On non-Gnu systems, users may need to install and configure Arch using:

1. A Posix-compliant implementation of the standard shell (sh).
2. Gnu Make
3. Gnu Tar
4. Gnu diff
5. Gnu patch

Portability to Windows-based platforms is nearly complete at this time, although some unresolved issues remain. If you have a need for Windows support, and are interested in helping to complete the work or fund its completion, please contact us.
